The most memorable day of your life should be your wedding day. When we are moving on to the "new normal" of 2022 as a result of the pandemic, you might be feeling a little overwhelmed by restricted borders, stay-at-home orders, and safety precautions. Intimate and charming, micro wedding settings offer safe environment for your guests while making your day no less special than any traditional wedding. Elegant small wedding packages are being designed by wedding vendors to match every bride's fantasy and belows are some calligraphy ideas you can use to beautify your dream wedding.

a growing trend in the wedding industry

Small-sized weddings have gained popular in recent months due to restrictions on larger gatherings. While many couples have postponed their larger festivities until the next official announcement of their region, others have chosen to celebrate their love this summer and fall with a micro-wedding, elopement, or mini-mony.

Eloping is a type of marriage in which the couple's relatives and friends, notably their parents, are unaware of the union. Eloped couples usually merely have a ceremony and don't have a reception or celebration.
Micro-weddings, as the name implies, usually has a guest list of up to 50 people—usually just immediate family and super-close friends. You can consider a micro wedding to be a hybrid of an elopement and a large, traditional wedding.
Mini-mony is a small ceremony done with your family or friends, or simply a shared moment of commitment. A mini-mony can include up to 10 people.

modern calligraphy for your wedding

Just as traditional weddings, your small wedding can include particular touches that will make it really and distinctly yours! Here are some of my most requested wedding calligraphy ideas for small weddings, ranging from welcome signs to unique place cards that make your guests feel especially special and cherished.

You will not have to skip out on the fun getting-ready pictures by working along with your photographer to capture all of your lovely bridal details . A personalized, hand-lettered bridal or couple jackets are the ultimate accessory for falls photoshoot or chilly summer night outdoor weddings.

I hand-painted this leather jacket for Sarah and she worn it gracefully on her wedding day. This is definitely one of my favourite wedding project.

Unique place cards
No matter how small your guest count is, give your guest the luxurious experience with unique, one of a kind place cards . Place cards with simply first names can be a beautiful and intimate touch to your micro-wedding table scape. Wedding place cards can be written on more than paper and coordinated with your stationery to create the ideal mood.

I hand-lettered these glass dome for Laura's small event and it is one of the most unique place card idea in my book.

Sweet Cart or Bar Menu
Will you be serving sweets as a toast to your marriage? A cute cart sign for your wedding can be a fun touch to your decor. If you have a smaller menu at your microwedding, wedding sweet cards or bar signs are extremely useful: simply list the available sweets or drinks for your guests to choose from.
