SERVICE TERMS
- Provided quotes and estimates are valid for 14 calendar days from the date the estimate is sent. After 14 days without an official booking, A Grateful Note reserves the right to re-evaluate the quote and update the estimated pricing if applicable. Seating charts and other wedding or event signage must always be completed prior to the actual event date.
- In general, A Grateful Note does not work on-site on the day of an event. If this is absolutely necessary, an on-site hourly rate will apply.
- Each client must sign a service agreement with A Grateful Note and pay the deposit invoice prior to the start date of any given project. The deposit is non-refundable if the client cancels or reschedules the project. This term does not apply to cancellations or rescheduling due to COVID-19 restrictions.
- If A Grateful Note must travel to the location to do the work, a travel fee will apply. The travel fee may be included in the hourly rate for on-site services if the location is within a 30 km radius of M9N.
- Clients are responsible for dropping off and picking up surfaces and completed projects from A Grateful Note’s studio. If this is not possible, a delivery service can be arranged at the client’s expense. Signage rental is also available for an additional fee (see RENTALS). We are currently not offering delivery service for our rental items.
- The cost of custom materials and supplies is usually included in the rate and might increase depending on each project.
- Our clients are entitled to one (1) draft and one (1) design revision via email. Additional revisions will be subject to additional design fees that will be added to the final invoice.
- A Grateful Note can be reached Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Any phone calls or text messages sent during evenings or weekends should be restricted to emergencies only, unless scheduled in advance by appointment. Please allow 24-36 hours for us to respond to your inquiry.
- The client is responsible for making all decisions about spelling, abbreviation, punctuation, and capitalization. For example, how the client types a list of names is exactly how they will be written on the final artwork. A Grateful Note is not responsible for errors made in the final text document provided by the client. It is recommended that the client have a third party proofread the list prior to sending it - two sets of eyes are better than one. A Grateful Note offers one (1) complimentary change for your project if time allows, and any additional changes after the design is confirmed and approved will be subject to additional fees.
- If the client requests a particular paper or material outside of A Grateful Note’s usual repertoire, it must be approved first by A Grateful Note to ensure that it is suitable for calligraphy and the method of delivery. Clients should refrain from purchasing a bulk order of materials until it has been tested to ensure the paper is of suitable weight and texture, etc.
- The client must provide an additional 10% of the paper and/or materials required to accommodate potential errors or last-minute additions. For example, if the order is for 100 envelopes addressed with calligraphy, the client must provide 110 envelopes. Leftover materials will be returned to the client at the end of the project.
- All sales are final. Due to the custom nature of the services provided, A Grateful Note is unable to accept returns or offer refunds. However, any errors made by A Grateful Note will be corrected at no cost to the client. If errors are due to typos in the client's text document, the client will be responsible for all costs related to the creation of new items.
